Hope Programme
The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity aims to inspire HOPE through building bridges with the child brain injury services. We facilitate the transition for young people and families from child services to our adult support network through one-to-one guidance and support. We are able to offer an internship for young people to learn about how a brain injury charity works, grow personal interests and explore opportunities in finding purpose.
We are also planning to offer an annual adventure holiday for children moving into our adult service, which will provide respite for families. Just as our previous Namibia trips, the format for the holidays will allow Silverliners to act as role-models for children and young people – giving a message of positivity and hope for their futures. At the Silverlining, we continue to grow our events which highlight our initiatives and Silverliner achievements. Our annual Glow Bowls have been organised alongside the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) andprovide inspiration for children and families of what is possible after brain injury.
H - Handholding into adult services – having a designated Silverlining link worker to support families and young adults into our services.
O - Organise an internship schedule – so that young adults can complete an internship in learning about how an adult brain injury charity works.
P - Planning an annual outdoor adventure holiday for children transitioning to adult brain injury services, engaging the Silverliners in planning holiday and activities, providing well needed respite to family and carers.
E - Events – we hosted our 3rd Glow Bowl Party (Pizza and Bowling) to highlight Silverlining initiatives and achievements to provide inspiration and positive role models for children and their families on what’s possible after brain injury. We look forward to our 4th on October 26th 2025!
