Make a lasting difference for people living with brain injury every time you’re paid.

Payroll Giving, also known as Give As You Earn, is the easiest and most tax-efficient way to support The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity with a regular donation. With Payroll Giving, your donation is taken directly from your gross salary (before tax), meaning more money goes to charity at no extra cost to you.

If you pay UK tax through PAYE, you’re eligible to give through Payroll Giving. Support The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity through Payroll Giving. Donate straight from your salary, tax-efficiently, to improve life after brain injury.

How Payroll Giving Works

You decide how much you want to donate each month, and your gift automatically comes out of your pay. Because it’s taken before tax, your donation goes further:

Basic rate taxpayer (20%): A £10 monthly donation costs you just £8.
Higher rate taxpayer (40%): A £10 donation costs you only £6.
Additional rate taxpayer (45%): A £10 donation costs just £5.50.

That means The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity receives the full donation, while it costs you less.

How to Set Up Payroll Giving

Check with your employer – If they offer Payroll Giving, they’ll arrange everything for you. Ask your employer to join – If they don’t have a scheme, you can encourage them to register with an approved Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) such as CAF, Charities Trust, or Benevity. Change or cancel anytime – Simply inform your employer if you want to adjust your donation. Switching jobs? – Payroll Giving won’t automatically transfer, so check your new employer offers it. Retired? – You can set up a direct debit donation instead.

Put Your National Insurance Cut to Good Use

With the recent National Insurance reduction, many employees have seen a small boost in their monthly pay. Why not put that extra money to work by signing up for Payroll Giving? It’s a simple way to give back and support life after brain injury.

Payroll Giving for Employers

Offering Payroll Giving is a great way to engage your staff and strengthen your corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. It’s a valuable employee benefit. It helps your business support charitable causes in a measurable way.

You can enhance the impact by match-funding employee donations - whether single, double, or even triple-matching contributions. By doing so, you’ll show your company’s commitment to supporting brain injury survivors and their families.

Why Your Payroll Giving Donation Matters

Every donation made through Payroll Giving helps us provide vital services, including:

Practical support for brain injury survivors.
Guidance for families and carers.
Community projects that rebuild confidence, purpose, and independence.

Your regular gift helps The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity improve life after brain injury—one payslip at a time.
