Antoinette’s Story

I had my brain injury 13.5 years ago whilst I was a medical student in London. Since then I have acquired new skills and have completed publication of my book, The Never Ending Journey , Living with Brain Injury

Nowadays I am like any other brain-injured individual coping with putting one foot in front of the other whilst fighting the inevitable frustration and severe boredom that is my post injury life.

My hobbies are reading and cooking. Life is certainly a journey and you never really know what is around the corner, but sufferer’s fortitude and determination that I have seen in the eyes of my silver lining colleagues has spurred me on and also meant comradeship and understanding from other disabled brain injured friends.

I have set up the Facebook Silver Lining Group, which I am hoping will be a forum that silver liners can share their news, thoughts and concerns. Also it acts as a reminder to us all of what the week has in store for us and somewhere to write words of encouragement and support by people suffering the same disability.
