Eds Swimathon
Ed recently completed his Swimathon challenge at the Nuffield Wellness Centre in Paddington Basin. For those who don’t know, Ed suffers from dystonia as a result of his brain injury. This means that his left arm and leg can become immobile or suffer tremors. This makes Ed’s challenge all the more inspiring as he can become effectively one sided at times. Ed originally set out with a provisional target of twenty lengths, but with the encouragment of friends and family pushed himself to an astounding 38 lengths on the night. As we hope you can see from the pictures there was a great turn out with lots of Silverliners … and Ed was rather pleased with himself!
Ed raised 3000 pounds for his event and we would all like to wish him many thanks and congratulations for doing this.
